Houston has already picked their shirt and the police are already making their pins that they will wear on the 25th, 26th, and 27 of October in Honor of the women of Houston. The Cares Enough to Wear Pink slogan will be displayed proudly to all of Houston and the Public Safety sure leads by example for all of us.

Hi Dave,
It was a pleasure meeting your team and seeing your beautiful pink truck. I especially LOVED the pink leather interior. Your team will inspire women and men alike to take better care of themselves. I hope that the pink paddle that Pink Phurree BCS Dragon Boat Team donated to the truck will serve to inspire women to exercise as they reclaim their lives, as there is plenty of life after breast cancer. We will continue to follow you, as you make your way across the US.
Leather, vinyl, plastic, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that they are doing something positive (raising awareness)to help fight a terrible disease. It hasn't taken a dime from any research, treatment or other services as it is all privately funded. When they drove out of Houston this morning I saw HOPE driving out of town - and that is what must happen to bring hope to others. Go visit the truck if you are lucky enough to have it stop in your town...
Great Job getting Houston to wear Pink, your creating an awareness that is unmatched in the fire and police community. Thanks for getting the men involved who would not normally support breast cancer. Way to Go Guardians!
Mangi155,
I have no Idea who you are, but would really like you to take your negative energy somewhere else. As a survivor and a winner, it;s been hard to see everything you keep doing to make yourself look bad. Please go away and let the rest of us appreciate what a great thing these guys are doing. This isn't about Dave...it's about all of these guys doing something that is incredibly awesome! I can't even begin to tell them what a great impact they have had on my life. So to all of the Guardians...Thank you and my you be safe from all negativity while out on the road!

Way to go Dave and the Team. Getting them there Texans to wear pink must not have been easy (smiles).
Keep up the GREAT work. You are doing a great job.
I am behind you 100%
Boy Howdy! I thought the truck looked pretty spectacular here in AZ - but with the Texas flag flying on it, it is truly a sight to behold!
I wish I could ride along with you and sing you every Texas song I know. But you seem like too nice a guy!
Be safe.

Your dedication and determination will NEVER be forgotten.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! Being a SURVIVOR, and seeing a PINK fire truck really takes my breath away...and reassures me that there still is hope in finding a CURE!!!
Truly inspirational Dave and guys!!! It is amazing to hear you talk with such love and compassion about your great vision. It was a pleasure and honor to work alongside y'all at the Houston event. Love and Godspeed -
Hi Dave,
I have been a member of the Virginia Beach Fire Department family for over 30 years. I am a cancer survivor, my husband is the Deputy Chief of the Department, my son is a Newport News Fire Department Firefighter/Medic.
In 30 years, I have never seen anything like this. This brings tears to my eyes to think of all the hard work, dedication, time, energy, committment, etc. you and your team have put into boosting Cancer Awareness.
We are so lucky to have you coming to our great city. God love you for what you are all doing and I look forward to meeting you in person.
Be Safe!
Dave,
I think what you and the team are doing is fantastic. There will always be someone who may not see us eye to eye. Continue your quest and don't let naysayers bring you down. YOu know in your heart what you are doing is a good thing. The negatives should find their own passion instead of trying to destroy others. We'd love to have you in Kansas!
Hi Dave,
Thanks for all your doing!! The truck is beautiful, I have enclosed a link of pictures i took with my personal camera. I thought I had a picture of us but apparently the person taking the picture did not get it properly. I have alerted my survivor, Breast Cancer activist friends across the nation of the schedule and shared my pictues, they are ready and waiting in cities on your way!!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW WHAT A RIDE!!"

Hi Dave – I'm guessing you all have just got to be beat and surly you are running on the adrenaline passed along by others. So be safe out there as you travel along this awesome adventure of Awareness! I’ve yet to see the truck & ribbon in person, but have followed the progress with the help of one of your guardians and of course your blog. The closest you’ll come to MI is Toledo, so there will be a group of us “calling in PINK” on the 30th to come and show our support. Until then…
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
17MORE DAYS UNTIL YOU ROLL INTO PITTSFIELD NH...CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!
Negative people are miserable and lonely... maybe mangi155 needs a hug...or a mammogram - heeheehee
Pink Ribbon Tour!
You are amazing! I saw you in Phx and can't wait to have you back when your tour is over. I am excited to see your progress each time I log in. What an amazing journey that you are taking and in honor of everyone affected by breast cancer. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We wear the Pink Ribbon shirts with pride and love to tell everyone about it!!!

Hi Dave and Pink Ribbon Tour Crew!!!
I tried very hard to get out of work, but couldn't make it to meet y'all!!!
Thank you so much for everything you are doing for the cause!! It means so much to me, and with wonderful people like you in the world..we will win!!!!
Thanks again, and keep on truckin'!!
In everyone's life God sends some angels. You and the guardians are angels to so many people. Thank you for the wonderful thing you are doing. Since our conversation I have been buzzing busily preparing for your arrival in Virginia. Everyone I have spoken to is eager to help and make this an event to remember. We welcome you with open arms, and hearts! I wish you safe travel, many new friends, and the avenue to touch lives for prevention and a cure! We will be wearing pink while you are here and again with you in October.
Be safe my friends and God Bless!
Dave and Team, keep up the great trek across the US. Girl Scout Troop 2 enjoyed their outing to the Phoenix Theatre and enjoyed seeing the truck and meeting you all. Juliette Lowe, the founder of Girl Scouts USA, died in 1927 from breast cancer so we try to 'get the girls involved'...no matter what...show you care, and do your part...spread the message to get your exams done and help others think pink. You guys are totally PINK. Thanks for all you do, and let us know when you'll be back in AZ. We'd love to come out again. Kari M. Troop 2, Gilbert
